Goshen Church of the Nazarene

James E. Newsome, Pastor

The purpose for this web site is to bring Glory to God.  We offer no glitter or flashing lights.  We have tried to express our church in a humble manner.  We invite anyone to attend our services if you are in our community.  With God's help we can share our Savior and God with many.  Thanks for allowing us that opportunity.

About Our Church
The Goshen Church of the Nazarene is possibly using one of the oldest buildings in the denomination. Our building was built in 1832. Even though the building has been destroyed once by fire and once by a tornado, we have a beautiful building in which to worship God. At present we are experiencing a wonderful presence of God in our services. Everyone is welcome to join..

Our Community
Goshen is a small rural community. Family oriented and family values are a theme wherever you go. We still enjoy the "street fair" as well as the many seasonal functions, which bless a small community.

How To Find Us
Goshen is located approximately 7 miles east of I -275 on State Route 28. We are 10 miles west of Blanchester on State Route 28. At the intersection of Goshen Road and State Route 28 turn north and go approximately 50 yards to Mulberry Street. Turn right onto Mulberry Street. The church is located almost immediately on the right side of Mulberry Street.

A Word From Our Pastor

I was converted in a revival in Blanchester Church of the Nazarene in late 1978 under the preaching of "Big" Bob Taylor. I have received my associate degree in Columbus Technical College (now Columbus State) continued at Franklin University and Mt. Vernon Nazarene College. I was ordained in 1988 by Dr. Raymond Hurn. I was a Children's Pastor for five years before becoming a Sr. Pastor, but I still love to work with children. I accepted the call to pastor Goshen in July of 1991. God has used me to enable people to know His love, leadership and direction as they grow closer to Him. It would be my pleasure if you would come join us if you don't have a church home.

Our Mission
We feel our mission is to reach the lost with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. To accomplish this we preach the Gospel message on a personal level.

Our testimony is that God saves, sanctifies each one as we come to Him. Our invitation is to all. Join us won't you?

Many times we have circumstances and situations, which weigh us down.  If you would like to leave a prayer request, please feel free to do so. Prayer request
